What is Wet Pan Mill?

The Wet Pan Mill is an efficient grinding machine specially designed for gold ore processing and mineral beneficiation. It combines crushing, grinding, mixing, and amalgamation into one compact unit, making it an economical choice for small and medium-sized gold mining projects.
Compared with traditional ball mills, the Wet Pan Mill features lower investment costs, reduced energy consumption, and simple operation. It is widely used for grinding gold ore, silver ore, iron ore, molybdenum ore, copper ore, and various non-ferrous minerals before gravity separation or flotation.
Built with wear-resistant components and a robust steel frame, our Wet Pan Mill delivers stable performance, long service life, and consistent grinding results even under demanding working conditions.Wet Pan mill, also known as a wet grinding mill or electric grinding mill, is a machine that uses heavy-duty grinding rollers to rotate and knead ore on a grinding base, thereby crushing it. It is mainly used for wet grinding and is the best alternative to ball mills in the beneficiation processes of small and medium-sized gold, iron, and lead-zinc mines. This equipment is highly favored by gold miners in Africa because it combines the advantages of low cost and high productivity.

What is the working principle of the Wet Pan Mill?

The motor transfers power to the speed reducer, which drives the central vertical shaft. This shaft then rotates the horizontal shaft, causing the heavy rollers to move in an anticlockwise direction along the grinding base. As raw ore (feeding size less than 30mm) is fed into the pan, it is repeatedly crushed, squeezed, and ground by the massive friction and weight of the rollers. Fine dissociated particles mix with water and float to the surface, discharging through the overflow port, while coarse materials stay at the bottom for further grinding.

Power Transmission: The motor transfers power to the speed reducer, which drives the central vertical shaft.

Continuous Grinding: The vertical shaft drives the horizontal shafts, causing the heavy rollers to move in an anti-clockwise direction within the basin.

Monomer Dissociation: As the rollers grind and knead the ore, materials are mixed thoroughly with water. Coarse minerals settle at the bottom for further grinding.

Automatic Overflow: Once the particles reach the desired fineness (e.g., 0.074mm / 200 Mesh), they float to the surface and are automatically discharged through the overflow port.
